Gladhands are essential connectors for linking pressurized air hoses or brake lines between trucks or semi-tractors and their trailers. To establish a secure connection, align the two seals at a 90° angle and press them together. Rotating the gladhand on the hose will then lock the couplings in place. Color coding simplifies identification: red for emergency brake lines, blue for service air lines, and black for versatile use.
