Diaphragm check valves are designed to maintain unidirectional flow within a system, effectively preventing backflow. The diaphragm opens when media flows in the correct direction, lifting away from the seat. Should the inlet pressure decrease below the outlet pressure, the diaphragm returns to its seated position, sealing the valve to block any reverse flow of media and contaminants.
