Plain Bearings
0 products
Plain bearings, known as journal bearings, are cylindrical components designed to fit around shafts, enabling smooth sliding, rotating, and oscillating motions. Dry-run plastic sleeve bearings offer a lightweight solution for high-speed, high-load applications with minimal friction. Maintenance-free metallic and multi-layered sleeve bearings enhance sliding efficiency through embedded solid lubricants, eliminating the need for upkeep. Lubricated metallic sleeve bearings are pre-treated with grease or oil to reduce friction and dampen vibrations. Flanged variants feature a protruding lip for thrust support or easier installation. Thrust washers, thin and disk-shaped, are placed between bearings and stationary surfaces to accommodate axial and thrust movements. Clip bearings are designed to be inserted into metal plate holes, providing a secure path for shafts.
